3 steps can fix iPhone 6 Plus won’t boot issue (touch IC Damage)

Receive an iPhone 6 Plus from our colleagues, the colleagues said this iPhone doesn't boot,  and the triggers current is about 300mA. They checked the iPhone motherboard , but it wasn't fixed.  After we checking, now we can use 3 steps to fix this problem. Step 1 Disassemble the iPhone 6 Plus by phone opening tool, we can see that the iPhone power chips   and black / white touch were replaced on the iPhone motherboard .   Now, we take the 3 chips off and observe where are not clearly connected on the solder pad.  Reloading power is triggered normally by multimeter , black and white touch are removed as shown in picture 10-8-1 . Step 2 Installed white touch which can be triggered with normal value while the black touch is triggered with current about 300. Picture 10-8-2 is the motherboard that does not have a black touch,we can check it under the Trinocular Stereo Microscope . Step 3 Replace the iPhone black touch ...

The other points are found to be normal, power off to test whole circuit, we find circuit line is broken. 4. Soldering the broken line with jumper , conncet the 2 points in iPhone diagram wit...

Solved: iPhone 7 Plus keeps reboot after white Apple logo appears

Colleagues have sent us an iPhone 7 Plus to repair, the fault is that when the iPhone is turned on, it will stuck on white Apple logo and then automatically rebooted, and the iPhone is hot. After we receive the iPhone, connect it to DC power supply , the current is very large. Colleagues previously suspected that it was a CPU problem, so we're going to flash the iPhone and look at the specific error code; we found the top of the iPhone very hot. The iPhone repeatedly reboot, CPU part hot is normal, but the top of iPhone hot is abnormal. The top of iPhone 7 Plus is line and WIFI, so we are targeting the WiFi. Quickly remove the iPhone motherboard and touch the iPhone WIFI IC , it's really hot, now we can confirm that there's something wrong with WiFi, and this serious hot is mostly caused by a short circuit in the capacitor. We can replace the WIFI IC, but the WIFI IC is close to the CPU in the iPhone 7 series, and after replace the WIFI IC, we still need remove iPho...

A8 CPU issues: get solution to fix iPhone 6 A8 CPU

An iPhone 6 accidentally dripped into water, and  then it has something wrong.  What's going on?  We need to check it, and get solution to fix it. After checking, the error details are UMT board can't connect with 80mA,  measure the reset data, it only has 0.8V,  and it is no short circuit after measuring the value.  Replacing the    iPhone  USB Control IC   (U1700),    iPhone display touch IC  (U1501) and replacing PMU, the result is same,  resistance value is also normal.   Now, we remove the A8 CPU,  the reset value is normal 1.8. However, after install the CPU underlayer, the data is lower again.  We judged the iPhone 6 CPU is damaged.  The reset pullup resistance R0206 is 100K, and the voltage becomes 1.6V after the change of the 2.2K resistance.   The upper cover current is a little higher, and the   iPhone screen is not displayed when install to test the iPhone ...

Solved: Short-circuit causes iPhone 6 cannot boot

A customer complaints that when press iPhone 6 power button , it has no response. In a word, the iPhone 6 won't boot.  Let's check it and solve it. Connect it to DC power supply,  the iPhone 6 shows large short circuit.   Disassemble the iPhone with phone opening tools ,  we find that the flash position is hot, so we tear it down and find the solder pad is burned a hole. As shown in picture 9-6-1 . PP_VCC_MAIN is short circuit, but it turns normally after removing L1605 inductance, however, the other end of L1605 to U1602 flash chip is still short circuit, so we directly dig from the burning hole till it's not short. There are 2 useful wire below the hole after we dig it: one is from U1602 flash chip E3 pin RCAM_TO_LEDDRV_STROBE_EN  to iPhone  rear camera   30 pin; the other is from CPU to transposon interrupt signal ALS_TO_AP_INT_L  of J1111. Solder the 2 wire with jumper wires , and apply the green oil  to solidify ...

Troubleshoot: iPhone 6S short circuit and not boot

A iPhone 6S cannot boot because of short circuit. Let's check the error details and fix it! Press the iPhone power button,  the iPhone 6s has no response.  Disassemble the iPhone, and measure it with DC power supply , it shows large current, and CC light shows up. High current is usually caused by damaged components on iPhone battery  voltage VBATT or on the VCC_MAIN circuit. The VBATT resistance value is measured normal, and the voltage of the VCC_MAIN is measured to 0.  Power on and increase the current, we find the iPhonecharging chips   and bell ring amplifier under the motherboard burn hot, so dismantle it directly then measure the value, it also makes short circuit to the ground, and still we can feel hot around. In order to find out the trouble spot accurately, fumigate the rosin and find that the charging tube is hot, which indicating that the short-circuit is not caused here. After checking on iPhone circuit diagram , we find ...

Here! Get best way to fix iPhone 6 Plus touch function not working

If you iPhone 6 plus touch function not working, what can you do? All you need to do is find the best way to fix it! Would you consider why the iPhone is suddenly out of touch in normal use? According our experience, it may be caused by  iPhone black touch IC  M1 pin disconnection. Remove the black touch IC, we found that there were no signs of M1 pin was empty solder or disconnection. Anyway, now the chip has been removed, so we measure the diode data of it with multimeter . Measuring the diode data of several important pins which on black IC solder pad, all is normal. Then we scrap the M1 pin, and solder a jump wire  on it with phone soldering station , now we put back the black touch IC, power on it, and test it, the failure still exists. Now we can rule out this reason. Measuring the working conditions of white touch IC, we found the diode data of white touch IC 5.1V power supply Filter Capacitor only about 70,so we suspect this could be caused by a...

Troubleshoot: iPhone 6 Plus iTunes error 4014 after Nand upgrade

For Apple users, iTunes error code are not strange, it is common to see that iTunes error 4014 or iTunes error 4013. Today, we will share a case about iPhone 6 Plus reports iTunes error 4014 after iPhone Nand Flash upgrading. When we flash the iPhone device, it displays error 4014 before progress bar showing up. It is restored and the serial number could be recognized, which appeares after Nand expansion. This is usually caused by the iPhoneUSB chips  leading to CPU problem. We get to know it UMT motherboard after disassembly, then remove USB chip U1700 to measure resistance from solder pad to CPU, we find that AP_TO_TRISTAR_ACC_UART6_TXD shows the infinite value. And AP_BI_12C0_SDA is also broken, as shown in picture 1. The layer wire is disconnected, so we need to find out other connection point or digging for other holes, AP_TO_TRISTAR_ACC_UART6_TXD is direct connected without other external components, when digging the circuit AP_TO_TRISTAR_ACC_UART6_TXD we ...

Then we install the iPhone CPU and test it, the fault is still existing.    Check the   iPhone circuit diagram   to measure the MIPI module conditions (required power supply, pull-up resistor, pull-down resistor, etc.). As shown in picture  1 . When measuring PP1V0, there is no voltage, the resistance value to ground is 0, we doubt CPU is not installed properly, but it's the same fault after reinstalling. Remove CPU to measure motherboard without short circuit,  CPU ground value is also not short circuit. Reinstall again, it's still short c...

4 steps to fix iPhone 6 Plus front camera unavailable

The front camera of iPhone 6 Plus is unavailable after dropping, but all other functions are normal, and you can switch freely between front camera and rear camera. The problem is when you use iPhone front camera to take pictures, it shows black screen.  This problem is generally caused by data  hub. In this case,  it is likely to be caused by the disconnection or   iPhone CPU  false welding. Step 1 Disassemble and install a new camera, same fault phenomenon remains the same, the problem is determined on the iPhone 6 Plus motherboard . Step 2 Power off the phone and measure the ground value of the camera interface, there is no any problems has been found, also the voltage needed for the camera is measured normally. This is a rare situation. If the CPU is false welding, the resistance shouldn't be normal, so there is almost impossible for getting a bad CPU. Step 3 Test the interface resistance again, infinity is detected when the...

HELP! iPhone 6S home button unresponsive--screen wakeup delay

Yesterday, we received an iPhone 6S, which problem is the iPhone home button   often gets unresponsive, and it will automatically change to  recovery mode.  Now, we need to fix it. Disassemble the iPhone, and take out the motherboard, we found that    the CPU and WiFi has been repaired,   32.768, 24M, iPhone NAND flash were also replaced.  Measure the iPhone motherboard with multimeter , power-on current is normal, then install the assembly to test, all of functions are normal, so we put aside to charge. An hour later, we find that home button has no response by pressing several times. The iPhone device could be lighted by pressing the screen-lock button, but home buttion is responsive after screen is locked, so the fault was judged as wake-up delay. Measure BURRON_MENU_KEY_CONN_L, the home button voltage is about 1.3V as normal valure, considering the peer has changed the iPhone WiFi , clock, CPU, so the fault is locked in the f...
