Apple iPhone 6 proximity sensor is unavailable, we can get real solution in this page! What is the consequence of proximity sensor being unavailable? The biggest effect is that iPhone battery consume fast. So, we need to fix it!
First we need to connect DC power supply to have a test. Disassemble to connect power supply, the
value is normal with standby mode, when turn on the iPhone 6, it's found that
the current jumps from 300mA, the normal current should be from 80mA.
The phone is not black
screen, the flex cable was replaced before but the failure is still existing,
it seems that the fault is from sensor. Take out the universal VC890D Digital Multimete to measure iPhone 6 motherboard. As shown in picture 2 .
When testing 3V power supply on sensor,
plate is short circuited to the ground, the power supply goes out of the PMU to
the J1111 interface, with a series of capacitors in the middle. The capacitance
is distributed in three places: near J1111, the upper left corner of the iPhone audio, and the power supply.
These three places are all smoked with rosin flux to check.
The capacitor rosin on the top of the PMU
chip is melt, so we pry it out.
The resistance was restored to normal, and
the electric current jumped to normal. Install the iPhone 6 to test, the sensor
is also normal now. As shown in picture 2.
After using the iPhone for a while, the iPhone battery consumption rate is normal, and the proximity sensor keep working. The iPhone 6 has been repaired!
