Checksum Error: chinese clone k-tag KTM100 software


if you bought a K-tag ECU programmer from china, and run ktag k-suite software, clone K-tag KTM100 software can not work. Here, vipprogrammer.com will give the solution about k-tag KTM100 Checksum Error.

Checksum Error Problem:
Every time, when you run k-tag KTM100 software, read the ecu information, and then show "checksum error",  the KTM100 software is shut down.


Solution1: (This solution was given by my customer)
Pls try on different PC, install KTM100 software on win 7 or win xp OS.
Result: FAILED!!!

Solution2: (The solution was given by mechanic)
I used a modified software and SD cards content to disable the counter inside the LPC. And I tried it many times without changing microcontroller by a new one when reaching 64 writing.
Result: FAILED!!!

Solution3: (The solution was given by forum)
I changed the file in the SD card and tried reading ECU again.
Result: FAILED!!!

Solution 4: (The solution was given by technical support)
The technical support suggested me searching the software “Microsoft visual C++2005/2008/2010” on Google and then install it on computer. I downloaded avisual C++ 2005 library in Google and installed it on my PC.
Result: Succeeded!!!
