Repair guide for iPhone 6 Plus battery drains quickly

The use time of cell phone battery is a factor that consumers buy mobile phone.  However,  we got a complain from our customer which about the battery issue of iPhone 6 Plus,  the iPhone 6 Plus battery drains quickly, this is bad for the use of  iPhone.  Vip Pro Shop Team provided a repair guide for this issue.

Repair Steps

1. Connect iPhone 6 Plus to DC power supply,  and then press iPhone 6 Plus power button, the current shows 100 Ma, the current jumps to 200-300 Ma for instant booting moment, it can be normal turned on and off, but the device body is very hot.

2. Press the power button to boot for entering system, we found that the compass in the iPhone 6 Plus can not be opened.

3. Remove the motherboard to measure, we found that the compass 3V power supply PP3V0-IMU is short circuit to ground, PP3V0_IMU in the schematic diagram as shown in picture 4-6-1.



4. Judging from the past maintenance experience, the filter capacitor is usually damaged for this kind of phenomenon. So we remove the filter capacitor C2205, C2205 position is shown in pictue 4-6-2,


5. After the repair, open the compass again, as shown in picture 4-6-3, everything returned to normal.
