Troubleshoot: iPhone 6S Plus half of screen is black

Last week, we got a iPhone 6S Plus from customer,  the problem is the half of iPhone screen is black, but the other half has a normal brightness, when the screen light blacked out, it cannot get light on again.  Vip Pro Shop Team can fix it.

1. Disassemble the iPhone 6S Plus device, we found all the D4050、D4051、U4050 of the iPhone backlight IC were removed, D4051 pad tin point dropped, it has been welded with jumper wires, but it was not fixed in a proper way. As shown in picture 1.


2. Clean the part of pad on iPhone 6s Plus motherboard, solder the jumper wire on it, and also weld the iPhone backlight diode and backlight chip. 

3. Connect and test the iPhone screen, we found that half black screen problem still exist. As shown in picture 2.



4. It looks like there's another problem, disassemble the iPhone 6s Plus motherboard.

5. Observe under the microscope, we found L4050 inductance surface cracks,  according to experience, we judge is there the internal coil problem? if energy cannot saved, it will cause the backlight boost circuit not able to be boosted.


6. Replace a iPhone 6S Plus internal coil directly, the backlight finally becomes normal. 

Finally,  the trouble of iPhone has been repaired, and the iPhone can be use normally again.
