The iPhone accidentally fell into the water, even though we picked it up quickly, but the iPhone 6S touch function still not working. The details is that when we picked it up, carefully try out the water, and then press the iPhone power button to turn it on, seems there has no any problems, the iPhone can boot smoothly. However, when we touch the iPhone screen, it has no response. Now, we need to solve it.
Disassemble the iPhone 6S by phone opening tools, take off the iPhone motherboard, and put it under the 3.5X-90X Stereo Zoom Microscope 14MP HDMI Camera to observe, no obvious scars.
Using Fluke 15B+ Digital Multimeter to measure
the grounding resistance of display touch socket, we found the 30th
pin(PP5V1_TOUCH_VDDH_CONN) power supply to the ground is short circuited, the
multimeter value is shown in picture 17-5-1 .
According to our previous repair experience, we try to remove the +5.1V filter
capacitor(C4003) of the display power to get rid of the fault.
Use digital multimeter to measure again, we found that there was no any short
circuit parts.
Assemble the iPhone to test iPhone touch screen, the touch function back to normal. Continue to test other functions on iPhone, all works well. The iPhone touch function problems has been solved!
