Fixed Details: Drop-damaged iPhone 7 Doesn't Boot

The iPhone 7 fell into the ground during the normal use, and then it doesn't boot. After repairing, the iPhone 7 is back to normal work, here is the fix detail. Firstly, use phone opening tools to disassemble the iPhone 7, remove the iPhone display assembly, disconnect the iPhone battery, and then remove the iPhone motherboard.  Connect the iPhone motherboard to the DC power supply,  the boot current is large than normal, it's leakage.  Now measure it by digital multimeter , we know the 3V power supply is shorted.  Observe the iPhone motherboard seriously, it's found that the iPhone motherboard card slot is bent,  so we suspected that possibly the problem is it.  Use QUICK 861DW hot air rework station to remove the two capacitors next to the NAND flash, now measure it again, the value tested is normal.  Finally, install the iPhone 7, press the iPhone power button,  the iPhone 7 is turned on smoothly.  The iPhone 7 has...

Solved: iPhone 8 won’t activate and stuck on Apple logo

Apple iPhone stuck on Apple logo and won't turn on is common problem, here is an iPhone 8 with this problem, the iPhone 8 stuck on white Apple logo and won't activate, we need to solve this problem. Use screwdriver to remove the screws next the iPhone lightning port, and then put iPhone 8 on the CPB screen separator , and then we can disassemble the iPhone 8 quickly. First we need to measure the power supply voltage of iPhone home button, the value measured is normal.  Next, test 3D flex cable, it's normal.  Remove the iPhone home button to test iPhone home button flex cable, it's also normal.  Take out the iPhone motherboard, put is under the Stereo Zoom Microscope to observe, we can see that one the connector J5800 has the trace of repairing, we try to fix it by replacing J5800. Apply some  high-temperature adhesive tape to the components next to the J58-, and then use hot air gun to remove the J5800 .  Use PCB cleaner to clean up th...

Solved: iPhone 7P Screen Backlight Abnormal(half dark)

The iPhone 7 Plus screen backlight display abnormally, it displays half darkness, one side for the screen is darker than another side. After replacing the iPhone screen, the problem still the same. We need to check iPhone motherboard to solve the problem.  Use screwdrivers to remove the screws next to the iPhone lightning port, put iPhone 7 Plus on the CPB screen separator to heat for a while, and then remove the iPhone display assembly, take out the iPhone motherboard.  There is no water trace or pressure trace on the iPhone motherboard, fist to check the iPhone backlight part.  Measuring the iPhone backlight pins of the display socket J4502 via digital multimeter, the data is 45, which is abnormal.  Check iPhone 7 Plus schematic diagram via ZXW Dongle , we know that the iPhone backlight IC goes to j4502 Pin 45 by passing  C4602, FL4601 and C4605, so we need to check C4602.  Measure the diode data of C4602, it's normal.  ...

Here is an iPhone 7 is damaged by dropping, luckily, the iPhone 7 still can turn on, unfortunately, the iPhone WIFI button is grayed out and won't turn on, which means the iPhone 7 WIFI function can't be worked! Here to get the solution to fix it. Firstly, use phone opening tools to disassemble the iPhone 7, and then take out the iPhone motherboard.  As we know, the iPhone 6S and later, the iPhone WIFI IC was bound to iPhone Nand flash. Because this is drop-damaged iPhone 7, so first we need to check iPhone WIFI IC , instead of removing iPhone Nand flash.  Before we remove the iPhone WIFI IC, we need to protect the iPhone CPU. Use High Temperature Resistant Tape to cover the iPhone CPU, and then use QUICK 861DW hot air rework station to heat the iPhone WIFI IC, and then remove it.  After remove the iPhone WIFI IC,we can see that there are 2 pieces useful pins are dropped. The 19 pin and 22 pin on the left side is dropped, and 20 pin almost dropped....
