The iPhone 8 Plus WIFI function is disabled, because the iPhone WIFI button is grayed out. We tried to fix it by restarting, but not working. Now we are going to fix it bu restoring, but after restoring, the iPhone 8P wifi is still disabled. How to real fix this problem?
Is it caused by a hardware failure? Such as the iPhone WIFI module IC.
Use phone opening tools to disassemble the iPhone 8 Plus, remove the iPhone screen assembly, disconnect the iPhone battery, and then take out the iPhone motherboard.
Use tweezers to remove the black sticker on the motherboard, and then use digital multimeter to measure the iPhone motherboard to check the iPhone WIFI working condition. After measurment, all data measured are normal, which means the iPhone WIFI circuits are normal.
Next, we need to measure the iPhone WIFI module IC working voltage. Connect the iPhone motherboard to a DC power supply, trigger the iPhone motherboard, and then use digital multimeter to measure the motherboard.
When measured the SR_LVX_W, the voltage is 1.22V, while the normal voltage should be 1.35V. Use hot air gun and BGA graver blade to remove the iPhone WIFI module IC, clean the solder pad.
Now use hot air gun and BGA graver blade to remove the iPhone Nand flash, and then clean the solder pad. Use JC P11 programmer to unbind the WIFI, and then reballing the iPhone Nand flash, install it back the iPhone motherboard. And install the iPhone WIFI IC to the motherboard.
Turn on the iPhone 8 Plus, go to setting to check WIFI, now the WIFI button can be control, and the iPhone 8P wifi function can be used smoothly.
