Press the power button, but the iPhone XR doesn't boot. We are going to fix it step by step.
Step 1
Disassemble the iPhone XR. Use screwdriver and pry tools to disassemble the iPhone XR, remove the iPhone XR display assembly.
Step 2
Measure the iPhone XR motherboard. Disconnect the iPhone XR battery, connect the iPhone XR motherboard to a DC power supply, it leaks 710mA.
Step 3
Observe the iPhone XR motherboard. Take off the iPhone XR motherboard, put it under a Trinocular Stereo Microscope to observe, we found the shield had crushed marks.
Step 4
Find out the faulty part. Use tweezers to remove the shield, and then put iPhone XR motherboard to a PCB holder fixture.
Now use soldering iron to smoke some rosin to the motherboard, we found a small filter capacitor next to the iPhone power IC melted first, which was part of the fault.
Step 5
Fix the faulty part. Use hot air gun and tweezers to remove this filter capacitor, and then use Fluke 17B+ digital multimeter to measure the grounding resistance, the resistance value measured is normal.
Step 6
Assemble the iPhone XR and test it. Assemble the iPhone XR, press the iPhone power button, the iPhone XR turns on properly, the iPhone XR boot issue has been fixed!
