We received an iPad 4, the faulty described
is that the iPad LCD screen is half right and half black after iPad screen
replacement, after repair the iPad motherboard by the iPad owner, the iPad
won't turn on.
According to description of the iPad user,
we know that the iPad display screen has been replaced, and because the iPad is
not turn off the power when replace the screen, so it causes the iPad LCD
screen to be half brighter and half black. And then the iPad user try to fix it
by repair the iPad motherboard, but failed, and damaged the capacitor, as
a result, the iPad won't turn on anymore.
First connect iPad to the DC power supply to check the current, we found the iPad is
short circuit 3A.
Remove the iPad motherboard to observe, we
found the inductor L2210 and L2200 and the one side of an inductor is connected
by tin.
Clean it up, and then measure is again, now
the iPad is not short circuit. Check iPad schematic diagram through by WUXINJI Dongle, we found these 2 inductors are backlight
fuse inductor.
We can short connect these inductors by jumper wire, after short connection, install the iPad
and test it.
Now the iPad displays normally, after
entering the IOS system, all functions tested are normal, the repairs end!
