The iPhone 7 Plus doesn't boot because of short-circuit, what's going on? How to fix this trouble? Here is the troubleshooting guide!
Trouble phenomenon
We press the iPhone power button as usual to turn it on, but the iPhone has no response, the iPhone screen always keeps black. First we through it's the problem of the iPhone screen, so we try to use another cell phone to call this iPhone, but we found this iPhone 7 Plus doesn't boot.
Troubleshoot
Use phone opening tools to disassemble the iPhone 7 Plus, after open the iPhone display assembly, measure the iPhone 7P with DC power supply, there is no current, which means there is no leakage phenomenon. Trigger it, and it shows large current, the current ups to 1.9A.
Take out the iPhone motherboard, use rosin method, so we can find out the problem easily. We can check it under the microscope.
Is it the iPhone main power problem? Check iPhone bitmap via WUXINJI Dongle, and then we found that the iPhone Nand flash power supply is also in the hot location, now we need to test whether the iPhone Nand flash is short-circuited.
After testing, we confirmed it is short-circuited. Now we need use BGA remove tool to scrape out this set of power capacitors with glue around the iPhone Nand flash, and then apply rosin to it, set DC power supply to 3V to heat this circuit. This capacitor is short-circuited, remove it directly.
Measure the iPhone 7P with DC power supply again, now the current tested is normal.
Assemble the iPhone 7 Plus, press the iPhone power button, now the iPhone 7P can be turned on properly. After entering the IOS, test all functions on iPhone, all functions tested are normal.
