A way to change iPhone 11 Pro to iPhone 11 Pro Max- Guide

As we know, we can change the cellular version of the iPad to the WIFI version of the iPad,  is this method also can be used on iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max? Here we try to change the iPhone 11 Pro to the iPhone 11 Pro Max, let's see if it works?




Apple product, it has board ID concept, we call it as motherboard ID identification circuit. This board IC circuit is often used to change the cellular version of the iPad to the WIFI version of the iPad，and also used to check the iPhone 6S to iPhone 6S Plus.

Check circuit diagram via ZXW online account for the iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max, we can see that their circuit and configuration are the same, so it's possible to change the iPhone 11 Pro to the iPhone 11 Pro Max.

Use phone opening tools to disassemble a iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max, remove the iPhone display assembly and motherboard, and separate the iPhone 11 Pro motherboard layer and iPhone 11 Pro Max motherboard layer.

Now install the iPhone 11 Pro display assembly with iPhone logic board and battery, and then connect it to the computer via iPhone lightning cable to check the iPhone model and SN.

Compared with iPhone 11 Pro display screen and iPhone 11 Pro Max screen, their screen flex cable are the same.

Now install the iPhone 11 Pro Max display assembly to the iPhone 11 Pro motherboard, after the iPhone is turned on, the iPhone 11 Pro Max screen is blurred, which mean these 2 screen are not universal.

Now we are going to remove the version identification resistor of the iPhone 11 pro, use JBC CD-2SHE Soldering Station  to remove the version identification resistor on the iPhone 11 Pro motherboard, and install the iPhone 11 Pro Max screen to the motherboard, turn it on, no response, it's in DFU mode.

Update the iPhone to the latest version, when finished; now we can see that the iPhone model is iPhone 11 Pro Max. Check iPhone SN,  it's the same. Then test the functions on the iPhone, everything goes well.
