There a joke said that you don't have to
fear the cold winter if your phone temperature is high enough. But when it
happens on your phone, you will be troubled by this. The owner of iPhone 5s complain that his iPhone 5s is overheating when charging it, just like fever,
and the battery drains fast. Well, he cannot use his phone happily in the case.
The Vipproggrammer have some tips for it.
First, plug the charger to charge for half
an hour, finding that the iPhone is very hot and the temperature is nearly 70℃. Turn if
off at once and tear it down to test.
Then, replace the ChargeJack cable, but the problem is still the same. Tear down the motherboard and measure each relevant circuit. Measure
the diode data to ground of each pin, such as charging tube Q2, USB Control chip U2 and USB interface J7. We find that diode data to ground of pin
26th of USB interface J7 is abnormal which is larger than the normal one 20.
The location of pin 26th of USB interface J7 in bitmap is shown in picture 1-1.

After analyzing the circuit diagram, we know that pin 26th is connected to USB
management chip U2. So replace U2 chip and turn on to test. But the problem is
still the same. Then we continue to check the rest circuits. Remove Q2 and
short connect the D pole and S pole on solder pad, as shown in picture 1-2. The
location of Q2 is shown in picture 1-3.

Finally, recharge it and test, the iPhone
5S turn back to normal temperature and the owner can use it happily
