Most owner of iPad Air has been through
this case, iPad Air cannot be charged when turned on while can be charged when
turned off. You must think what the situation is, and how can fix it. Now,
vipprog wrote a guide to fix it.
First, disassemble the iPad Air by phone
opening tools, remove the motherboard and
plug adjustable power supply to turn it on. We find that the iPad get stuck on
Apple logo screen. After observing, we can see that the USB management chip
U6000 has been torn down, as shown in picture 1-1. The solder pad of USB
management chip U6000 is shown in picture 1-2.

Then, Tear down a USB management chip from
the accessories board and assemble it on the faulty board. Trigger it on and
plug a USB cable. It can be connected to computer but cannot be recognized by
computer. The material object of the assembled USB management chip is shown in
picture 1-3.

Finally,Measure the circuits on the Charge Jack and find that four of the circuits are open circuit, as shown in
picture 1-4. Connect these open circuits with enameled wires and turn iPad on
to connect to computer. It can be recognized by computer now. The charging function
back to normal.
